3-day Int'l Carpet Exhibition On Oct 17-19

The three-day international carpet exhibition stated to be held from October 04 to 06 this year has been rescheduled on October 17 to 17, 2018 due to various reasons.

Lahore, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018) : The three-day international carpet exhibition stated to be held from October 04 to 06 this year has been rescheduled on October 17 to 17, 2018 due to various reasons.

According to a statement issued by the organizers here on Tuesday, Pakistan Carpet Association (PCA) Executive Coordinator Member Riaz Ahmed throwing light on the change of the date of exhibition said this change in date was made due to request of the foreign buyers.

He said our archrival India involved in sabotaging three-day international carpet exhibition as it announced to hold its own carpet exhibition on October 21 to 24 which created problems for foreign buyers and delegations and they requested our organizers to change our exhibition date to avoid clash with Indian carpet exhibition.

Riaz Ahmed said Pakistan announced date three months before and this was our privilege to hold exhibition first but we changed this date to accommodate our foreign participants.

He said our step is widely appreciated by foreign buyers.

He said that the Pakistan Carpet Association's delegation comprising Chairman Latif Malik, Vice Chairman Qamar Zia, Carpet Institute's Chairman Saeed Khan, Member Executive Coordinator TDAP Riaz Ahmed, former chairman Major (r) Akhter Nazeer called on Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Director General Mian Riaz Ahmed and informed him about the change of the date of the exhibition.

Mian Riaz Ahmed assured the delegation of all available support for conducting exhibitions and introducing world class Pakistan made carpets in international markets. The delegation also thanked Secretary TDAP Inamullah Khan Dareejo and DG Mian Riaz Ahmed for issuing funds and other technical support for organizing three-day international carpet exhibition.
