3 killed, 22 injured over property dispute in Faisalabad

Three persons were shot dead while 22 others sustained multiple injuries over old property dispute in the limits of Rodala Road police station.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2018 ) :Three persons were shot dead while 22 others sustained multiple injuries over old property dispute in the limits of Rodala Road police station.

Police spokesman said here Tuesday that Pir Khurram Abbas Shah resident of Chak 377-GB had an old property dispute with Sarwar Chaddar of the same locality. Over this issue, Pir Khurram Abbas Shah along with his accomplices attacked Sarwar Chaddhar Group when they were busy in harvesting wheat crops.

The assailants reportedly opened indiscriminate firing which resulted in killing of three persons including Sughra Bibi wife of Ahmad Ali, her daughter Pathani Bibi and son Sadi Ahmad on the spot.

In this incident, 22 persons including 6 women received bullet injuries and were shifted to hospital. Among them include Mondan Bibi, Kausar Bibi, Mughlan Bibi, Talha Bibi, Waziran Bibi, Fatima Bibi, Saleh, Bashir Ali, Jaffar Ali, Zahid Iqbal, Afzaal, Khadim Hussain, Abdul Sattar, Umar Hayat, Sarang Ali, Ali Sher, Dost Muhammad, Anwar Ali, Akbar Ali, Asif, Mehndi Ahmad and Azam.

The area people along with relatives of the victims staged a demonstration and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits who managed to escape from the scene after firing. Receiving information, area police rushed to the spot and took bodies into custody.

The police also dispersed the protestors by pacifying and assuring them that the accused would be arrested soon and taken to task according to law. On other hand, City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad took notice of the incident and directed Superintendent Police Jaranwala to submit its report at the earliest.

SP Jaranwala Town Shehbaz Elahi also constituted various police teams and directed them to arrest the culprits at the earliest, spokesman added.
