301 Development Projects Completed Under SAD: Project Director

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Dec, 2017 ) :Project Director Southern Area Development (SAD) Director Ghulam Habib Marwat Thursday said 301 development projects have been completed in D.I Khan, Tank and Lakki Marwat districts with financial assistance of World Bank.

Briefing the Minister for Agriculture Ikran Khan Gandapur, Member Provincila Assembly from Tank Mehmood Khan Bhittani, Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Abdul Ghafoor Baig and Deputy Commissioner Noman Afzal Afridi, he said that with an amount of Rs 2.3 billion hundreds of projects are in phase of completion in southern districts of KP.

He said the projects include drinking water, rehabilitation of schools, construction of roads in rural areas, setting up of Basic Health Centres, canals, and construction of embankments and others.

He said that starting in 2013, a total 301 projects have been completed while some 31 projects are under progress and to be completed in 2018. On completion these projects would change the fate of southern districts, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Dera Abdul Ghafoor Baig appreciated the timely completion of the projects and said that people can also supervise these projects as there is no interference of departments of communication and works and contractors.

The commissioner further said that he would recommend inclusion of settle areas of FR Dera and FR Tank in the projects so that the people of DI Khan division could be served indiscriminately. At the end of the briefing he distributed certificates among successful internee trainees of sad.
