34th Annual General Meeting Of PSDE On December 12

ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :The 34th 3-day Annual General Meeting and Conference of Pakistan Society of Development Economists (PSDE) would be held here on December 12 (Wednesday).

The conference would be organized by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) and the theme of this year's event will "Pakistan's economy: the way forward".

The annual general meeting is a regular feature which have been taking place science 1984 to provide policy guidelines to government on different issues faced on economic front.

The other objectives of the meeting to evaluate the prospects of the economy and suggest the viable solutions and way forward which would be helpful in setting policy direction to achieve a higher growth trajectory in terms of economic as well as human development in the coming years.

The Minister for Planning Development and Reforms Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar would inaugurate the conference, where as the event would also be attended by the ambassadors of the different countries along with prominent economist and policy makers.

This year's conference includes five lectures, panel discussions and technical secessions which would be deliberate on the challenges faced by the national economy including current account deficit climate change, water security, regional connectivity and health.
