36 Lawbreakers Including Four Suspected Dacoits, Nine POs Rounded Up

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Dec, 2018 ) :Rawalpindi District police in their crackdown against anti-social elements have arrested 36 lawbreakers including four suspected dacoits and nine POs besides recovering 3412 grams charras, 120 liters liquor, nine 30 bore pistols with 56 rounds, a 12 bore gun with two rounds and other items from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Kahuta police held Siddique for having 1060 grams charras. Airport police netted Imran for carrying 460 grams charras and Aftab on recovery of 230 grams charras while Wah Cantt police rounded up Khalid and recovered 580 grams charras. Other accused were sent behind the bars for having illegal weapons, drugs, liquor and other items.
Civil Line police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid near Punjab House in its jurisdiction and arrested four suspected dacoits namely Abdul Basit, Zain Shahzad, Haroon and Ehtisham and recovered two 30 bore pistols with seven rounds.

A.Bazar and New Town police conducted raids and held Yasir Mahmood, Kamran, Gulfam, Sajjad, Umair Shahzad, Roman Masih and Mohsin Raza who were POs and wanted in different cases.
Meanwhile, Chontra Police managed to net two most wanted proclaimed offenders (POs) from the jurisdiction of Bin Qasim Police Station, Karachi.
The spokesman informed that the two POs namely Tanveer Iqbal and Muhammad Saleem who were wanted in a murder case registered in 2017 and declared POs by the court of law.
He informed that on the directive of City Police Officer Rawalpindi Abbas Ahsan, SHO Chontra constituted a special team comprising Sub-Inspector Arif and SI Latif which after hectic efforts traced the accused in Karachi area. Home Department Punjab contacted the Sindh Home Department and got approval for the raid. Chontra police in collaboration of Karachi police and Rangers managed to nab the POs who have been shifted to Rawalpindi.
