406,566 Emigrant Workers Proceed To Saudi Arabia During Current Year

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2016 ) : Majority of the emigrant workers (406,566) proceeded to Saudi Arabia during the first three quarters of the current (Calendar) year followed by 222,325 to United Arab Emirates and 34,301 to Oman.
According to the Research Wing of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, a total of 690,694 workers moved to different countries after getting registered with Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) during the current year.
Around 8,480 emigrant workers proceeded to Malaysia, 6,621 to Qatar, 6,137 to Bahrain, 369 to South Korea, 205 to Italy and 225 to United States of America.
While 246 emigrant workers proceeded to United Kingdom, 676 to Kuwait and 4,543 to the other countries.
During the year 2015, a total of 946,571 emigrant workers moved to different countries with majority 522,750 to Saudi Arabia, 326,986 to United Arab Emirates, 47,788 to Oman, 20,216 to Malaysia, 12,741 to Qatar, 9,029 to bahrain and 13 to South Korea.
Whereas 431 workers proceeded to Italy, 350 to United States of America, 260 to United Kingdom, 164 to Kuwait and 5,843 to the other countries.
