According to a Gilani Research Foundation study on “Experience of Voters during General Elections 2018” carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 46% Pakistanis who voted in 2018 elections stated that they walked to their polling stations to cast their vote

Islamabad,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) According to a Gilani Research Foundation study on “Experience of Voters during General Elections 2018” carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 46% Pakistanis who voted in 2018 elections stated that they walked to their polling stations to cast their vote.

This press release is 2nd of a six part series of press releases from Gallup’s post-election study.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces, who had voted in 2018 general elections, was asked “Please tell what mode of transportation you used to reach your polling station?” In response to this question, 46% said they walked to their polling stations, 32% said that they went to their polling station on a motorcycle, while 22% said that they used public transport such as rickshaw or a car to reach their polling station.
