49 booked over water, power theft

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2019 ) :Irrigation authorities and FESCO task force caught 49 persons who were allegedly involved in electricity and water theft.

Police said on Tuesday that teams of Irrigation department conducted raids at Miani, Sahiwal, Chava and others areas of district and caught 44 farmers over illegally watering their farms from government canals.

Meanwhile,FESCO task force caught five persons over stealing electricity from main electric transmission lines from Kot Pehalwan, Terkhanawala, Sultanawala colony.

On the reports of authorities,police registered separate cases against Sajjad Khan, Asim Gulzar, Nawaz, Abdul Sattar, Mukhtar Ahmad, Riaz, Murtaza, Aman Ullah, Naeem Khan, Azhar, Nasrullah, Muhammad Shabbir and others.
