60 KP MPAs Submit Assets, Liabilities With ECP, CM, Speaker, Sr. Minister Among Non-filers

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Oct, 2016 ) : As many as 60 members out of 124 total strength of the Provincial Assembly have submitted their assets and liabilities detail to Election Commission of Pakistan before the deadline September 30, 2016 said a release of ECP here Thursday.

Whereas 63 members including the KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Speaker KP Assembly Asad Qaiser, and Senior Minister KP Shahram Khan Tarakai are among those who have not yet file their assets details with the Election Commission, the release added.

One minority seat of the KP assembly is vacant after the assassination of Special Assistant to CM Dr. Soran Singh. Interestingly only two MPAs Mehmood Jan (PK-7) and Provincial Minister Shah Farman (PK-10) have filed their assets return out of Peshawar district's 11 seats of provincial assembly.

PTI has won ten seats from Peshawar district while the assets and liabilities return were filed by their (PTI) only two members, rest eight yet to submit.

No MPA from CM home district Nowshera have file assets returns despite the fact district have five MPAs all hailing from the ruling PTI.

In district Swabi, home constituency of PTI's bigwig Asad Qaiser only two out of five have filed assets returns as none of them belong to PTI. In Mardan district, out of eight MPAs only three have submitted assets return with ECP.

In Kohat the home district of Law Minister Imtiaz Shahid only one MPA Ziaullah Khan Bangash of PTI has filed and the same is the case with the Karak district. In Abbottabad district four MPAs out of five have filed papers whereas Haripur is the only district where all the elected members have filed their assets return.

In Mansehra two out of five, Swat three out of eight and out of 24 present members of the minorities only 14 have filed their assets return with ECP. APP/ayz/drs
