8 Fruit Sellers Arrested For Profiteering In Peshawar

District administration Friday arrested eight fruit sellers for profiteering from the old fruit market at Sikandar Town, G.T. Road.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Mar, 2018 ) :District administration Friday arrested eight fruit sellers for profiteering from the old fruit market at Sikandar Town, G.T. Road. The arrests were made during checking of differnet fruit shops initiated on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Islamzeb .
During the checking, the Additional Assista nt Commissioner (AAC), Irfan Ali first in garb of a common citizen collected the rates of fruits from differnet shops and later along with police conducted raids and arrested eight fruit sellers.
People present on the occasion appreciated the action and demanded such operation in other bazaars also. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) has warned all shopkeepers to charge the retail price and avoid profiteering. Otherwise, stern legal action would be taken against them.
