8 Men Killed, 42 Persons Injured In Separate Accidents In Jamshoro

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2024) At least 8 persons lost their lives in 2 separate accidents on M-9 Motorway and Indus Highway in Jamshoro district on Friday.
According to Lunikot police, an over-speeding passenger bus heading from Hyderabad to Karachi hit a truck on the motorway and instantly turned over due to the impact.The police told that 4 passengers died on the spot and their bodies became stuck in the bus owing to which a part of the vehicle was cut open to pull out the bodies.
The police added that 17 passengers were injured in the accident and they all were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital.Four among them were said to be in serious condition being under life saving treatment at LUH Hyderabad.The deceased have been identified as 45 years old resident of Karachi Muhammad Suhail, Larkana's resident Shaman Ali Kandhro, Abdul Qayum Bhutto and Ali Nawaz.
The dead bodies were shifted to district headquarters hospital in Kotri town of Jamshoro.The second accident occurred between a car and a passenger bus near village Serai Solangi in Manjhand taluka on the Indus Highway.It also claimed four lives of men belonging to a single family in addition to leaving 25 other persons including 8 children and women injured.
The police quoting the eye-witnesses claimed that the accident happened due to over-speeding by the car's driver.The police identified the deceased as 60 years old Syed Dinal Shah, his brother 55 years old Syed Sarwar Shah and their nephews Syed Hameed Shah and Syed Zainul Abideen Shah.The injured were shifted to LUH Jamshoro.
