Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws including six drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from them, a police spokesman Wednesday said

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ) :Islamabad Police have arrested eight outlaws including six drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from them, a police spokesman Wednesday said.

Following the directions of Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, he said all officials of Islamabad police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.

According to details, Tarnol police arrested an accused Iftakhir Hussain and recovered 1.20 Kilogram hashish from him.

Golra police arrested Ali Raza and Mohsin Liaqat besides recovering a total of 230 gram hashish from their possession. Police also arrested Maqam Khan and recovered 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from him.

Industrial-Area police arrested an accused Kafayat and recovered 530 gram hashish from him.

Shehzad Town police arrested accused Qais Khan and recovered 1,985 gram hashish from him.

Lohi Bher police arrested Junaid and recovered 140 gram hashish from him.

Secretariat police arrested Dildar for his alleged involvement in a theft case.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation have been initiated.

The Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Islamabad has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.

He said Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.

He said it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
