85 Processions, 158 Majalis To Be Held Today, 5508 Police Personnel Deployed On Security In Bahawalpur

As many as 85 processions of 9th Moharam-ul-Haram would be taken out in Bahawalpur division including seven of category-A and category-B each and 71 processions of category C. This was told by Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur Muhammad Faisal Rana while talking to APP.
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2018 ) :As many as 85 processions of 9th Moharam-ul-Haram would be taken out in Bahawalpur division including seven of category-A and category-B each and 71 processions of category C. This was told by Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur Muhammad Faisal Rana while talking to APP. He further told that 158 Majalis would also be held today of which eight have been put into category-A, ten in category-B and 140 Majalis of category-C. He said that 5508 police officers and personnel have been deployed for the security of these processions and Majalis. He said that highly sensitive processions and Majalis of category-A are being monitored through CCTV cameras. He further told that the four-tier security plan has been put into place at processions and Majalis.
He told that routes of processions have been technically swept and snipers of police and Elite Force have been deployed at terraces and roofs around the sites of processions and Majalis. Special parking plan has also been made for the participants of processions and Majalis.
He further stated that instructions have been issued to take strict action against hate mongering elements. He said that role of peace committees, trade unions, civil society and media is pivotal in keeping peace during Moharam-ul-Haram. He urged the media to exhibit responsibility and avoid releasing any news without confirmation.
