95% Children Vaccinated Against Polio In First Two Days Of Drive

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Naila Baqir said that during the first two days of anti-polio campaign, 335,371 children were administered polio drops against the target of 353,543 across the district which was 95% of the target.
She expressed these views while presiding over a review meeting of the anti-polio campaign at her office on Wednesday.
The DC urged parents to cooperate with teams and play their role for polio-free country.
She said that during the drive children over the age of six months were also being administered Vitamin A drops which would help building immunity of children against crippling diseases.
The Deputy Commissioner was informed that during the campaign so far, 29,597 children in Bhera tehsil, 32,598 in Bhalwal tehsil, 40,421 in Kot Momin tehsil, 30,497 in Sahiwal tehsil ,in Sargodha tehsil 138, 695 children, in Shahpur tehsil 31,303 children and in Sillanwali tehsil 32,260 children were vaccinated against polio.
