9893 Suspects Investigated, 1158 Arms Recovered

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2019 ) :The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police under the National Action Plan (NAP) have investigated 9893 suspects and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition being conducted throughout the province against criminals and anti-social elements.
As per details, a total of 5511 search and strike and Snap checking operations were conducted in different parts of the province in last 15 days in which 9893 suspects were arrested and recovered 1158 arms of different kind and 17682 cartridges of different bore.
During the operations, 23791 houses were checked and 637 FIRs were registered for non-submission of tenant information forms.
Similarly, 71 FIRs were lodged against hotels for non-verification of guests. Likewise security inspections of educational institutions were also carried out and 31 FIRs were registered against educational institutions for insecurity arrangements.
During snap checking on 4717 check points, a total of 5920 suspects were held and recovered 464 arms of different kind and 8403 rounds of different bore.
In action against illegal immigrants, a total of two Afghans were detained on the charges of without registration and valid documents.
Similarly, 64 cases were registered on misuse of loud speaker and 72 persons were taken into police custody. The police also lodged six FIRs against bus terminals for insufficient security arrangements. 252 FIRswere registered for insufficient security arrangements for vulnerable establishmentand places.
