9,907 Rescuers To Remain On High Alert During Eid Holidays

Director General Rescue-1122 Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer was briefed here Thursday that around 9,907 rescuers would be deployed at important sites during the Eid ul Azha holidays.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :Director General Rescue-1122 Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer was briefed here Thursday that around 9,907 rescuers would be deployed at important sites during the Eid ul Azha holidays.
The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) ambulance, rescue and fire services would remain on high alert during Eid holidays in all 36 districts of the province.
The DG Rescue-1122 Punjab reviewed emergency arrangements during a meeting held at Emergency Services Headquarters on Friday. The meeting was attended by all heads of wings.
The operations head briefed the Director General that emergency plans for Eid had been finalised in all districts of Punjab in consultation with respective deputy commissioners.
The rescuers would perform Eid duties in three shifts at 550 key points, earmarked across Punjab including 250 key points of emergency vehicles, 300 of Motorbike Ambulances.
Besides that 200 mobile rescue posts would also be established in all districts of Punjab.
In this regard, the emergency response and management plans have been chalked out by all district emergency officers in consultation with all stakeholders in the District Emergency board Meetings for an effective and efficient management of any untoward incident during Eid holidays. Special mobile rescue posts would also provide optimum emergency cover at major Eid prayers venues.
The DG Rescue, while restricting the leaves of rescue staff during Eid holidays, directed for exhibiting high spirits ofprofessionalism and rendering exemplary services to humanity in a dedicated & committed manner.
