Abbottabad Police Arrest Gang Involved In Issuing Fake Pakistani ID Cards To Afghan Nationals

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) In a major crackdown on document fraud, the Abbottabad Cantonment Police arrested a group involved in illegally obtaining Pakistani identity cards for Afghan nationals.
The operation was carried out on the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Umar Tufail (PSP) and led by SHO Cantt Police Station, Cadet Abdul Ghafoor Qureshi.
According to police sources, the arrested suspects have been identified as Saqib, son of Javed, a resident of Islamabad; Naeem, son of Abdul Jaleel, from Kehal; Sami, son of Ihsanullah, a citizen of Afghanistan; and Abdul Jaleel, son of Khalil-ur-Rehman. These individuals were allegedly involved in forging documents to help Afghan nationals fraudulently acquire Pakistani national identity cards.
A case has been registered against the accused at Cantt Police Station under Sections 419, 468, and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code, as well as Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. Police officials confirmed that further investigation is ongoing to uncover additional links and accomplices.
The Abbottabad Police reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against fraud, illegal residency, and the misuse of national documents, emphasizing that strict action will continue against those involved in such unlawful activities.
