Accountability To Be Held Across Board, Without Discrimination: Fawad

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Dec, 2018 ) :Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Thursday said that process of national accountability bureau (NAB), would be held across the board and without discrimination.
The Opposition wanted to weaken the NAB institution, he stated talking to a private news channel.
Commending the role of Shahid K Abbasi, for appointment of NAB chief, he said no one including journalist, judges would be spared for accountability.
He said Usman Dar case was strong and Khwaja Asif may be arrested on that basis.
Fawad said strong political system links with better performance of institutions.
Commenting on economic situation, he said the country needed 12 billion rupees otherwise we could face bankruptcy.
He said Saudi Arabia had provided Pakistan one billion rupees while one billion would be released by December end.
To a question he said due to the efforts of Pakistan, the Yemen conflict had been reduced.
As far as relations with India was concerned, Fawad Ch said Pakistan wanted to have better ties with neighboring country besides improvement in trade which, he added beneficial for the people of both the regions.
Minister said the Muslims and other communities are in minority in India but they had been facing biased behavior of Indian state.
About relations with United States, he said the matters with Trump administration was improving gradually.
The minister said the PTI government was focusing on agriculture sector rather on infrastructure development of CPEC.
Job creation, strong economy and agri sector were the priorities of PTI government, he added.
To another question he said media should report the things related to any part of Pakistan with responsibility.
He said many incidents of crime had been reported in New York, London and other big cities of the countries but their media reported the things with carefully.
He suggested that institution should not create hype or report the issues with sagacity.
In reply to a question about PAC chairman, he said the Opposition would create hype or mess whether the chairman appointed with their consent or choice.
To a question about Saad Rafique, he said everyone knows how Saad Rafique had earned money and on what resources.
In reply on Aleema Khan, he said that fifty percent she got the money from banks and fifty percent from abroad for purchasing assets here.
He said that PM had asked the NAB chairman that there should be no pressure on that institution.
The NAB was discharging duties diligently and efficiently, he said adding that the institution was independently working in the country.
