Accountability Vital To Recover Looted Money: Ali Muhammad Khan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was in the favour of accountability across the board and taking concrete steps to recover the looted money from corrupt people.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the ongoing accountability was the part of PTI's manifesto and the government was committed to fulfill all the promises which it had made with the public during election campaign.
He said the government was forwarding ahead focusing to improve country's trade and export volume with neighbours and strengthening the national economy through its prudent policies.
The government was investing on development of the poor and initiating many welfare projects like housing and shelter home schemes.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan was the first man who raised his voice against corruption and created awareness among the youth about their fundamental rights which had been ignored due to corrupt system.
It was the first time in country's political history that the corrupt elements were being held accountable, he added.
Replying to a question regarding anti-corruption institutions, he said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was independently investigating corruption cases with the help of other investigative agencies.
He said there was a dire need to further strengthen NAB to fight corruption and corrupt elements.
Responding to another question, he said National Assembly Speaker proved himself neutral after issuing production order to Shehbaz Sharif - the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly. As far as Saad Rafique's matter is concerned, he would decide after seeking legal opinion, he added.
To another query, he said the Prime Minister Imran Khan had given clear-cut instructions to the Federal cabinet that whosoever, would be found indulged in corrupt practices, he would be dealt with iron hand.
