Accused Gets 3 Years Term For Illegal Sale Of ETPB Property

An accountability court Thursday handed down three years imprisonment to an accused involved in illegal sale of property of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB)
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 6.4 million on the accused, Zahid Imtiaz, besides confiscation of his property.
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Waseem Akhtar conducted the proceedings on a reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the accused.
According to NAB prosecution, Zahid Imtiaz illegally sold the property which should be surrendered to the bureau in a case. The accused sold 30 kanal land of ETPB to the citizens through fraud.
The reference was filed against the accused in 2017.
