MURREE, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : Town Municipal Administration (TMA) has started action against buildings being constructed illegally despite ban on construction in various areas.
TMA staffers led by Assistant Commissioner Murree took action against a building which was being constructed illegally by encroaching old Brazilian Embassy's land. Illegally constructed portions of two other buildings were also damaged by TMA staffers in Bhurbhan.
Similarly action has also been taken against two buildings on Galyaat road where a number of buildings are being constructed illegally in sheer violation of all kinds of construction. It is worth mentioning here that a number of buildings are being constructed illegally by influential people with the help of some of TMA staffers and other concerned authorities, despite the fact that all kind of construction is banned in Murree for the last eight years by Punjab government.
When contacted AC Murree Arif Ali who is also administrator of Murree told APP that he himself supervised the action against buildings being constructed illegally in violation of ban. He did not deny the construction by influential people but said that after taking over charge of AC, he started action against any illegality and present action will continue without considering any pressure, judiciously against all the encroachers.
He said that action will also be taken against staffers if found involve in any such irregularities with the builders of illegal buildings.
