Additinal Secretary To Look After Sectrary HR Office

ISLAMABAD, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : After laying vacant post of Secretary Human Rights for around two months, new Additional Secretary In-charge Rabia Javeria Agha assigned to look after the office.
The post was laying vacant after the retirement of Nadeem Ashraf on October 2, an official of Ministry of Human Rights told APP here on Thursday. The new official, Rabiya Javeri Agha is a career bureaucrat of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS).
A graduate in politics and Literature from the prestigious Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts USA, she entered the civil service in 1986. Rabiya Agha has served the Federal and Provincial Government in several capacities.
In her posting as Secretary Tourism, she was responsible for the mapping and documentation of heritage sites and indigenous crafts in Sindh. As Secretary Women's Development Department, she was instrumental in the initiation of free legal aid facilities for indigent women.
Prior to this, Ms Rabiya also served as Special Secretary to the Governor of Sindh. Rabiya Javeri Agha also set up of the Sindh Energy and Power Department and helped formulate the new Sindh Power Policy.
