Administrations Assisting Power Distribution Companies In Electricity Bills Recovery

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2024) The Deputy Commissioners of all the 9 districts in Hyderabad division have claimed that their administrations are assisting the power distribution companies in the recovery of electricity bills as well as in the actions against power theft.
At a meeting chaired by Commissioner Hyderabad Division Bilal Ahmed Memon here on Monday the DCs apprised that some 325 FIRs had been lodged recently against the people involved in electricity theft while 107 suspects had been arrested.
According to them, 141 FIRs had been registered in Hyderabad, 68 in Dadu, 34 in Jamshoro, 33 in Tando Allahyar, 24 in Matiari, 20 in Tando Muhammad Khan, 11 in Badin, 7 in Thatta and 2 in Sujawal districts.
The DC Jamshoro complained that the officers of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) were not cooperating with his administration.
During the meeting the Commissioner directed the DCs to coordinate with the local government representatives in order to address the civic issues.
