Advisory For Farmers

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) : Citrus growers should visit their orchards after rain, hailstorms and contact to research centers for guidance. This was said by Director Citrus Research Institute Altafur Rehman while talking to APP on Friday.

He said citrus orchards had been affected badly by strong hailstorm last year while it was also occurred during current monsoon, therefore, farmers should visit Kinnow orchards as it was necessary to receive the best production. He said due to hailstorm branches of tree got dried and pruning was much necessary for growth of kinnow plants. Altafur Rehman said farmers should also empty their orchards from rainwater and adopt early precautionary measures by leveling their orchards.
