Agriculture Being Introduced As Tourism: Minister Raja Yasir Hamayun

Provincial Minister for Tourism Raja Yasir Hamayun Monday said the government was introducing agriculture based tourism for the first time in Pakistan to attract younger generation to agri-sector
Addressing the opening ceremony of Orange Festival at Kotmomin,the provincial minister said that this festival would help in introducing Pakistan's citrus varieties in the world, adding the government was arranging such festivals at different places in the country.
On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdus Salam and Assistant Commissioner Iffat un Nisa said that Sargodha's kinnow was famous in the world because of its delicious taste and color.
A handout stated Monday that Tourism Punjab (TDCP) arranged a Citrus Fruit Mela with the cooperation of district government at Kotmomin in which over 50 types of oranges including Red Blood, Kinnow, Chakotra, Musami and others varieties were displayed.
A number of children from different schools, women, farmers and other people attended the festival.
