Air ambulance reaches Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2024) An air ambulance of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) reached

under test flight here on Thursday.

Secretary Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer led the air ambulance while Head of

Information, Safety & Community Madam Deeba Shehnaz also accompanied him.

District Emergency Officer Faisalabad Zafar Iqbal welcomed the air ambulance at the

Faisalabad International Airport where Rescue 1122 staff and others were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rizwan Naseer said that the government under special direction

of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz launched air ambulance from Lahore which reached

Faisalabad on test basis so that this service could also be provided in this metropolis.

He said that the air ambulance would help in quick response in case of major emergencies

in far-flung areas where special healthcare hospital facility was not available.

The district emergency officer said that air ambulance service would be provided at division

level in first phase. However, this facility would be expanded at district and Tehsil levels

in the next phases.

He said that Punjab Emergency Service Department had two air ambulances while two

more ambulances would be arranged soon to facilitate people of Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad.

The air ambulance was equipped with all kinds of modern gadgets and machines which were

in dire need during emergencies, he added.
