AJK CS Orders For Immediate Construction Of Crossing Bridge Over Jhelum River:

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2018 ) : Dec. 13 (APP):AJK Chief Secretary Mian Waheed ud Din Thursday directed to the State department of Local Government and Rural Development to immediately start the construction of Crossing Bridge over the Jhelum river in the AJK's metropolis to encourage the recreation activities for the masses including children along the scenic banks of the river. He also directed the department of Forests for plantation on both sides of the river to create scenic beauty.

He expressed these views during visit to Thori Children Park, at the periphery of Jehlum river Wednesday evening for surprise inspection of the ongoing work of reconstruction of the Children Park. He expressed satisfaction over the progress of the work.

Chairman Development Authority Muzaffarabad, Malik Ayaz Ahmed briefed the Chief Secretary on design, area and facilities that would be provided to the visitors in the Park.

The Chief Secretary took keen interest in the proposed design of Park and suggested that there should be Crossing Bridge over the river to beatify the park and adjacent locality and also there should be plantation on the bank of the river along the boundary of the park.

Later, the Chief Secretary, toured the Officers Club Hall on the Bank Road and viewed the capacity and facilities in the Club. The Chief Secretary asked the District Administration to call a meeting of the all stakeholders in Chief Secretary's office during the upcoming week to resolve the issues of the Club amicably.

AJK Minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Sikandar, Secretary Housing and Physical Planning Muhammad Idress Abbasi, retired secretary Shoukat Jan Buch and officials of District Administration were also present on the occasion.
