AJ&K Premier Directs Finance Dept To Maintain Financial Discipline

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Raja Farooq Haider Khan directed Finance department to maintain financial discipline to avoid prodigal expenditure and to devise strategy to overcome financial crises. He was addressing in PM Secretariat while attending briefing of Finance Department here on Tuesday. AJ&K Senior Minister Ch.Tariq Farooq, Minister for Information and IT Mushtaq Minhas, Minister for Finance Minister, Planning & Development and Health Dr.
Najeeb Naqi, Minister for construction Ch.Aziz, Minister for Higher education and Elementary, Secondary Education Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani, Minister for Forest Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Minister for Revenue Farooq Skinder, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Raja Nisar, Minister for Social Welfare Noreen Arif, Chief Secretary Sultan Skinder Raja, Secretary Finance Malik Muhammad Sadiq and other high officials of the government were present on the occasion.
The Secretary Finance briefed the Premier about financial position and informed about the revenue resources of finance department in AJ&K.
He also informed about the budget breakup and other details concerned. Several proposals have been reviewed to minimize financial deficit during the briefing and some important decisions have also been taken in this regard, he added. The AJK PM Raja Farooq said the overdraft of Azad Kashmir has been exceeding over Rs 18 billion due to financial indiscipline and lavish expenditure of previous PPP government. He directed all the departments to maintain financial discipline and avoid mismanagement.
