Alamgir Khan of ‘Fix it’ gets PTI ticket for NA-243 by-election

The NA-243 seat was vacated by Prime Minister Imran Khan after he retained his NA-95 Mianwali seat.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th September, 2018) Alamgir Khan, social activist and founder of ‘Fix it’ campaign, has been awarded a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ticket to contest NA-243 by-election.

The NA-243 seat was vacated by Prime Minister Imran Khan after he retained his NA-95 Mianwali seat.

Upon getting the ticket, Alamgir Khan said that he is thankful to PM Imran for trusting him.

“Thankful to ALLAH SWT.

Thanks to @ImranKhanPTI for showing trust in me. On the basis of survey feedback, PTI has awarded me ticket to contest #NA243 byelections. Imran Khan's victory preserved!” he wrote on his Twitter account.

Alamgir Khan’s ‘Fix it' campaign was meant to cover unsealed manholes in Karachi and gained media attention in 2016. He got into trouble after he spray painted former Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah’s silhouette on the road.
