Aleem Khan Orders SWM To Ensure Cleanliness Of Railways Colonies

Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan on Monday ordered the Solid Waste Management (SWM) to ensure the cleanliness of all Railway colonies.
Talking to the media at Moghalpura during his visit to inspect the sanitary condition around the area, he said after spending Rs 1.25 billion monthly in the city, there should be 100 per cent cleanliness and Solid Waste Management and companies concerned should fulfill its responsibilities actively.
He said, mechanical sweeping and washing of only main roads couldn't fulfill purposes and side roads, streets and intersections of vicinities proper cleanliness and garbage removal should be done every day.
He also directed PHA authorities to complete maintenance and decorative work of park at Moghalpura Road so that children could play there properly.
Aleem Khan said that local bodies department was evolving solid mechanism which would produce better results in the coming days.
He said, besides Orange Line Metro Train project, all incomplete projects would be completed.
Answering a question, he said, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had great political background and sound personality and being the ally of them, it was their moral and political responsibility to address his reservations.
"Assumptions in this regard are not correct and there is no misunderstanding at all and smooth working of the Punjab government will continue in days to come," he added.
He said, their political opponents had nothing to do but making a noise to hide their corruption but they would not succeed in their aims and would have to face music.
