Ali Awan For Reforms In Police Deptt To Improve Its Performance

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :Special Assistant to Prime Minister on CDA Affairs, MNA Ali Awan Friday said that reforms in the police department was very essential to further improve security and the law and order in the country.
Talking to a private news channel, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Awan said that there were 75 percent officials in the police department were above the age of 45 which was a matter of concern for the department. He said that it was a dire need to train the police in a line with international standards.
Replying to a question regarding safe city projects, he said that 600 cameras out of 1800 of safe city project were not functioning while the remaining were not in position to identify the objects due to their sub-stranded quality.
Replying to another question regarding NAB cases, he said that the accountability process was not started by the PTI government.
He said all the cases and references against Sharif family and leaders of Pakistan People Party (PPP) were framed in the tenure of previous government. He said that National Accountability Bureau was completely independent institutions and government has nothing to do with its official matters.
