Ali Begum Clarifies US Citizenship Matter

The only female contestant from NA 46 Parachinar, Ali Begum has clarified that she has surrendered US citizenship on April 16 and presented the related document to concerned authorities during process of nomination papers.

PARACHINAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :The only female contestant from NA 46 Parachinar, Ali Begum has clarified that she has surrendered US citizenship on April 16 and presented the related document to concerned authorities during process of nomination papers.

Talking to media here Tuesday , Ali Begum said that she served as government sector employee for 35 years.

"I am a law abiding citizen and well aware of all the formalities and legal procedures", she said.

She said that cancellation papers of her foreign citizenship have been submitted in US Embassy on April 16, 2018 and she was allowed to contest elections after proper scrutiny and presenting the related document during nomination process to Returning Officer of NA 46, Additional Commissioner Kurram.
