All Main Rivers Run Normal

The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that owing to subdued monsoon activity across the country, at present all main Rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Sep, 2017 ) : The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that owing to subdued monsoon activity across the country, at present all main Rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal.
According to daily FFC report on Wednesday, the Combined Live Storage of Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma reservoirs is 11.223 MAF (81.00% of total storage capacity) as against the maximum live storage capacity of 13.856 MAF.
Trough of Westerly Wave lies over Kashmir whereas Seasonal Low exists over Northern Balochistan. Weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper parts of the country upto 3000 feet.
Mainly dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. However, isolated wind-thunderstorm/rain may occur over Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sahiwal and D.G.
Khan Divisions of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Northeastern Balochistan including over the upper catchments of all the major rivers during the same period. No significant rainfall event has been reported by FFD, Lahore, during the past 24 hours except for Dir =18 mm and Skardu & Hunza = 06 mm each.
