All rivers flow normal

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -5th Sep,2016) : The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that all main rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal. According to daily FFC report here on Monday, the river flows and reservoir elevations indicates that Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs are at elevations of 1542.22 feet and 1235.35 feet respectively, which are 7.78 feet & 6.65 feet below their respective Maximum Conservation Levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.

The combined live storage capacity of Tarbela, Chashma & Mangla reservoirs is 12.943 MAF as compared to last year�s 13.

803 MAF. According to Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore, yesterday�s Westerly Wave over Northern parts of Afghanistan lies over North of the country.

Weak Seasonal Low lies over Northeastern Balochistan. As predicted by the Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore, scattered thunderstorm/rain is expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Indus, Jhelum & Chenab, besides, Northern Punjab & Rawalpindi Division including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Peshawar & Kohat Divisions) during the next 24 hours.

No significant rainfall event has been reported by the Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore during the past 24 hours.
