Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) paid tribute to its former Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Sayed, who had expired here last week
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2019 ) :Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) paid tribute to its former Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Sayed, who had expired here last week.
Dr Javed Iqbal had served the AIOU from June, 1994 to January 1997.
The condolence reference held here on Friday at the University's main campus.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Zia Ul Qayyum and representatives of Employees Welfare Association(EWA), Officers' Welfare Association(OWA) and Academic Staff Association(ASA) attended the reference.
The participants prayed to Almighty to rest the departed soul eternal peace. They also expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
The participants also condoled the demise of the University's employees, Riaz Gul, Muhammad Sohrab, Amir Nazir and Muhammad Qasim who had recently passed away.
