ANF Seized 1.027 Tons Drugs, 4100 Lits Acetone & 3100x Xanax Tabs Worth Rs 1.270 Billion

Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 1.027 Tons narcotics valuing Rs 1.270 Billion internationally, arrested 21x persons involved in drug smuggling and impounded 1 vehicle while conducting 20 counter-narcotics strikes across the country
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2018) : Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 1.027 Tons narcotics valuing Rs 1.270 billion internationally, arrested 21x persons involved in drug smuggling and impounded 1 vehicle while conducting 20 counter-narcotics strikes across the country.
The seized drugs comprised of 994.5 Kg Hashish, 31.5 Kg Heroin, 125 Grams Methamphetamine and 960 Grams Amphetamine, 4100 Liters Acetone & 3100 Xanax Tabs weighing 730 Grams. Most of the recovered drug was intended to be smuggled abroad.
ANF Quetta seized mega cache of drugs comprising 985 Kg Hashish in an intelligence based operation conducted at general area Killi Dolangi, Tehsil Gulistan and District Qilla Abdullah. As per Initial information, the drugs were intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang.
ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1.1 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Javed Afridi resident of Khyber Agency near Shah Khalid Stop, Opposite Baujee Restaurant, Rawalpindi.
In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Kareem Ullah Khan resident of Bannu at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 3100 Xanax Alprazolam Tabs weighing 730 Grams from his personal possession.
He was travelling to Sharjah (UAE) by Flight No. G9-555. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 2.5 Kg Heroin from personal possession of arrested accused, identified as Sulman Shah resident of Rawalpindi which was concealed in a carpet.
He was arrested at New Flying Coach Cargo Office near Murree Road, Rawalpindi. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 360 Grams of Heroin from KFC Bahria Town Phase � IV, Islamabad which was concealed in shoulder bag.
Two accused identified as Mughal Khalid resident of Mirpur (AK) and Waqas Qadir resident of Sawabi were apprehended. ANF Lahore seized 200 Grams Heroin by intercepting a (UK) bound parcel, being sent through a courier service company booked from Sialkot.
Heroin was concealed in Motorbike gloves. In another operation, ANF Lahore recovered 3.6 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Naseer Ahmed and Shabir Hussain residents of Hafizabad.
They were arrested near educational institution, Railway Road, Khushab. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested 2x accused namely Mohsin Zia resident of Gujrat and Muhammad Arshad resident of Sargodha and recovered 9.2 Kg Heroin which was concealed in soaked cloth placed in his trolley bag.
They were travelling to Saudi Arabia by Airline Flight No. NL-705. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore seized 360 Grams Heroin by intercepting an Australia bound parcel, being sent through a courier service company booked from Lahore at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
In fifth operation, ANF Lahore seized 460 Grams Heroin from an Australia bound parcel being sent through a courier service company, booked from Lahore. Heroin was concealed in 17x Hockey Balls. A person identified as Muhammad Ayaz Abid resident of Gujranwala was apprehended.
ANF Peshawar arrested Surat Wali resident of Bannu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.1 Kg Hashish which was concealed in his hand bag. He was travelling to Sharjah (UAE) by Flight No.
G9-555. In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Prado near New Toll Plaza, Kohat and recovered 15 Kg Heroin which was concealed in secret cavities of the car. A person on board identified as Muhammad Asif resident of Peshawar was apprehended.
In third operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with ASF arrested accused identified as Safi Ullah resident of Hangu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 960 Grams Amphetamine which was concealed in his trolley bag.
He was travelling to Riyadh (KSA) by Saudi Airlines Flight No. SV-0793. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested accused identified as Muhammad Zubair resident of Khyber Agency and recovered 1.150 Kg Hashish which was concealed in his chapals/ shoes.
He was arrested near Bilal Daewoo Bus Stop. ANF Karachi seized 850 grams Heroin by intercepting a Birmingham (UK) bound parcel being sent through a courier service company booked from Karachi. Heroin was concealed in 3x wooden frame of crockery set.
In another operation, ANF Karachi arrested 3x accused persons namely Abdul Karim, Mashooq Ali and Wazir Ali residents of Shikarpur at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 590 Grams Heroin which was concealed in their trolley bag.
They were travelling to Jeddah (KSA) By Air Blue Flight No. PA- 172. In third operation, ANF Karachi seized 2.4 Kg Heroin by intercepting a UK bound parcel being sent through a courier service company booked from Islamabad.
Heroin was concealed in cardboards. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi recovered 2.2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of 2x accused persons namely Riaz Ali and Ghulam Shabbir residents of Tando Adam.
They were arrested near Tando Allah Yar road. In fifth operation, ANF Karachi seized 4100 Lits Acetone at Seaport, Karachi which was concealed in 410 x Plastic Canes. Said container was destined from Sri Lanka to Pakistan.
An accused identified as Abdul Rehman Tahir resident of Lahore was also apprehended during the operation. All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
