ANF Seizes 101 Kg Drugs In 28 Operations; Arrests 31

Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 101 kg narcotics worth Rs 363 million in international market, arrested 31 culprits including two females and impounded four vehicles while conducting 28 counter-narcotic strikes during last seven days

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2019 ):Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 101 kg narcotics worth Rs 363 million in international market, arrested 31 culprits including two females and impounded four vehicles while conducting 28 counter-narcotic strikes during last seven days.

According to an ANF spokesman, the seized drugs comprised of 79.06 kg Hashish, 15.185 kg Heroin, 3.166 kg Amphetamine (Ice), 3.082 kg Methamphetamine (Ice) and one kg Opium.

As per details, ANF Quetta intercepted a troller at main Kuchlak Road, near Byco Petrol Pump, Quetta and recovered 60 kg Hashish from secret cavities of the vehicle. A person on board namely Mati Ullah resident of Pishin was arrested on the spot.

ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a car near Tarkai Toll Plaza, main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered 2.4 kg Hashish which was concealed under the driving seat of the vehicle. Two persons on board namely Muhammad Asif r/o Khyber Agency and Taous Khan r/o Peshawar were arrested. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Saqib Khan r/o Mirpur (AJK) at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 860 grams Heroin which was tactfully concealed in hair spray bottles placed in his bag. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons identified as Hazrat Umar and Rahat Sher both r/o Khyber Agency and recovered 2.5 kg Hashish. They were arrested near Tarkai Toll Plaza, main GT Road, Jehlum. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a car near Dina Bus Stop, main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered one kg Heroin and 600 grams Hashish which was concealed under the driving seat of the vehicle. Resultantly two accused on board namely Muhammad Tanveer and Abdul Rasheed both r/o Rawalpindi were arrested during the operation. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1.25 kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused identified as Ashfaq Ali r/o Swabi. He was arrested near Chakwal Morr, Jehlum. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons at Islamabad International Airport identified Muhammad Saqib and Jameel Akhtar both r/o Attock and recovered 1.380 kg Amphetamine (Ice). In seventh operation, on suspicion of narco filled capsules ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Muhammad Idrees r/o Kurram Agency at Islamabad International Airport. Further he was admitted in hospital where 122x Heroin filled Capsules (weighing 800 gram) were recovered. In eighth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Zarab Ali r/o Swabi at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 730 kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was soaked in Ihram. In ninth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Waseem Gul r/o Kohat at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.056 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) with packing material from his bag.

ANF Lahore arrested an accused person namely Ijaz Ali r/o Swabi at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 970 grams Methamphetamine (Ice). In another operation, ANF Lahore recovered 8.555 kg Heroin from vacuum Tank of 68 Down goods train at Lahore Railways Station. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Anwar r/o Swat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 820 grams Methamphetamine (Ice) which was tactfully concealed in his bag. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested two lady accused namely Tasleem Bibi and Najma Bibi both r/o Muzaffargarh and recovered 800 grams Heroin from their personal possession. Both were arrested near Post Graduate College, Multan Road, Muzaffargarh. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 500 grams Heroin from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Liaquat r/o Muzaffargarh. He was arrested near Misali Zakrya Secondary School, Alipur Muzaffargarh. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 1.010 kgs Heroin from personal possession of the arrested accused person namely Rashid Ali r/o Sialkot. He was arrested near Lasani Pillo, Sargodha Road Faisalabad.

ANF Peshawar conducted seven separate operation near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar an arrested eight accused persons identified as Kamran Khan r/o Charsadda, Musa & Wali r/o Khyber Agency, Mujeeb ur Rehman r/o Peshawar, Abdul Ghafar r/o Faisalabad, Muhammad Irfan r/o Sialkot, Sadaqat resident of Khyber Agency and Manzoor Illahi r/o Chakwal and recovered a total of 6.2 kg Hashish, one kg Opium and 730 grams Heroin from them. All were arrested from passenger vans. In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Muhammad Raziq r/o Hangu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.010 kg Hashish which was tactfully concealed in Soap & Shampoo bottle placed in his bag.

ANF Karachi intercepted a motorcycle at Eid Gah road, Leyari, Karachi and recovered three kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused identified as Ishtiaque Ahmed r/o Karachi. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a UK bound parcel from a private courier office located at Karachi and recovered 930 grams Heroin which was concealed in 70x child jackets. Parcel was booked from Rahim Yar Khan. In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested an accused namely Rooh ul Amin r/o Charsadda at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 1.292 kg Methamphetamine (Ice) which was tactfully concealed in plastic plates. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi raided near Bangish Hotel, Nazimabad No 2, Karachi and recovered 2.5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused.

All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
