ANF Seizes 742 Kg Drugs, 158 Kg Suspected Chemical In 26 Countrywide Operations

Determined to uproot drug menace from the country and the world, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan has seized 742.565 kg Narcotics, 158.060 kg suspected chemical and 144.150 kg alcohol worth Rs 937.5 million in international market, arrested 34 culprits including five ladies and impounded nine vehicles while conducting 26 counter-narcotic strikes

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2019 ) :Determined to uproot drug menace from the country and the world, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan has seized 742.565 kg Narcotics, 158.060 kg suspected chemical and 144.150 kg alcohol worth Rs 937.5 million in international market, arrested 34 culprits including five ladies and impounded nine vehicles while conducting 26 counter-narcotic strikes.

According to an ANF spokesman, the seized drugs comprised of 670.55 kg Hashish, 43.9 kg Opium, 20.005 kg Heroin, 3.965 kg Amphetamine (Ice), 1.5 kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 630 grams Cocaine, 419x Xanax Tablets, 110x Rivoril Tablets, 158.060 kg suspected Chemical and 144.150 kg Alcohol.

In an intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta intercepted an unattended vehicle from general area of Kasar, Tehsil Dasht, District Turbat and recovered 14 kg Heroin.

ANF Rawalpindi recovered 890 grams Amphetamine (Ice) at Islamabad international Airport and arrested two persons identified as Sahib Gul and his lady accomplice namely Noor Zia both residents of Swabi.

In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Muhammad Imran r/o Hangu at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 590 grams Amphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in his trolley bag.

In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Muhammad Umar Kiyani r/o Jehlum and recovered 550 grams Hashish.

In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1.1 kg Hashish and arrested accused identified as Gohar Ayub r/o Sialkot.

In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a motorcycle near Faizabad, Rawalpindi and recovered two kg Hashish & 170 grams Amphetamine and arrested accused identified as Chan Peer Shah and Aamir Farid both r/o Rawalpindi.

In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Zahid Mehmood and his wife namely Saira Bibi r/o Rawalpindi and recovered two kg Hashish. Both were arrested near Chungi No 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad.

In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two lady accused namely Mehr Zari r/o Haripur and Saima r/o Nowshera and recovered one kg Hashish and two kg Opium.

In eighth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Ismail r/o Mardan at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 925 grams Amphetamine.

ANF Lahore recovered 500 grams Hashish from the possession of two arrested accused namely Talha Irfan and Shah Rukh, r/o Multan.

In another operation, ANF Lahore arrested a lady accused namely Iffat Batool Gori r/o Pakpattan and recovered 630 grams Cocaine.

In third operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a car near SA Garden, Sitara Hilal, Shell Petol Pump Lahore-Gujranwala Road and recovered three kg Heroin and three kg Hashish. Resultantly, two accused namely Alamgir Khan and Andaz Ali both r/o Khyber Agency were arrested.

In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a car and a motorcycle near Khanewal Toll Plaza, Lahore-Multan Road and recovered three kg Heroin.

Resultantly, three accused namely Muhammad Sagheer r/o Khanewal, Maqsood Ahmed and Rauf Arshad both r/o Faisalabad were arrested.

In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a motorcycle at Gol Chakkar near Imporium Mall, Joher Town, Lahore and recovered one kg Hashish and two kg Opium from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Zubair Khan r/o Lahore.

ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC (South) raided at dumping place located near Shorkot, Bannu Road, D.I Khan and recovered 563.2 kg Hashish, five Gram Heroin 144.150 kg Alcohol and 158.060 kg Suspected Chemical.

In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a car at Pattang Chowk Stop, Ring Road Peshawar and recovered 1.390 kg Amphetamine (Ice). Resultantly, two accused namely Khan Wali r/o Khyber Agency and Muhammad Shah r/o Peshawar were arrested.

In third operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 500 grams Methamphetamine (Ice) from personal possession of Inayat Ullah r/o Peshawar.

In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Ziarat Khan r/o Swabi at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.9 kg Xanax Tablets.

In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 1.5 kg Opium & 600 grams Hashish from the possession of arrested accused namely Imran Badshah r/o Qasur.

In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted two cars near Bacha Khan Markaz, Peshawar and recovered 69.6 kg Hashish and 38.4 kg opium. Resultantly, three accused identified as Shah Nawaz r/o Peshawar, Abdul Khaliq and Muhammad Shahzad Khan Afridi both r/o Khyber Agency were arrested during the operation.

In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 2.4 kg Hashish and arrested Farman ud Din r/o Peshawar.

ANF Karachi arrested an accused indentified as Mumtaz Ali r/o Swabi at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 950 grams Methamphetamine (Ice).

In another operation, ANF Karachi conducted a raid at Bismillah Quetta Zamzam Hotel, Mujahid Colony, Nazimabad, Karachi and recovered 22.8 kg Hashish. Resultantly, an accused identified as Jano r/o Karachi was arrested. In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested Asad Sultan Mehmood r/o Lahore at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 320x Xanax Tablets (weighing 85 gram). In fourth operation, ANF Karachi intercepted an Australia bound parcel from Cargo Complex located at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 99x Xanax Tablets (weighing 12 Gram) and 110x Rivoril Tablets (weighing 18 Gram). Parcel was booked from post office Islamabad. In fifth operation, ANF Karachi arrested an accused namely Pervaiz Ahmed r/o Karachi and recovered 800 grams Hashish and 50 grams Methamphetamine (Ice).

Above mentioned operations were conducted during last week and all cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
