ANP, PTI In Loggerhead For PK-65 Nowshera

As General Elections 2018 is drawing nearer, electioneering has gained momentum in Nowshera district where tough electoral battle is expected between ANP stalwart, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and PTI's leader, Mian Khalique Rehman for PK-65 Nowshera.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :As General Elections 2018 is drawing nearer, electioneering has gained momentum in Nowshera district where tough electoral battle is expected between ANP stalwart, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and PTI's leader, Mian Khalique Rehman for PK-65 Nowshera.
ANP Central Secretary General and former Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain is posing tough challenge to former MPA and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Development Mian Khaleequr Rehman, who had comfortably won 2013 General Elections.
PTI had again fielded Mian Khaliqur Rehman from this constituency who defeated Mian Iftikhar Hussain with a big margin of around 13,597 votes during 2013 General Election. However, Mian Khaliq had lost 2008 election to Mian Iftikhar Hussain by a thin margin of around 200 votes.
Political observers said tough job was now ahead of PTI stalwart to retain his seat in the upcoming election as Mian Iftikhar is now in comfortable position to run his political campaign compare to last election in which he was facing serious life threats.
Being an official spokesman, Mian Iftikhar was very vocal in former ANP led coalition Govt in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and had earned good reputation and was awarded Tamagh e Imtaiz for his supreme courage and bravery by the government of Pakistan.
The political observers believed that Mian Iftikhar would give tough time to PTI stalwart in the upcoming election as he was apparently facing no difficulty in running his election campaign this time.
PK-65 Nowshera is consisted of urban and rural areas including Pabbi Tehsil, Khuderzai village, Taru Jabba, Akbarpura, Babi Jadeed, Kandi Taza Deen, Nasir Kally, Chowk e Mumraz, Wazir Ghari, Hakeem Ghari, Dag Ismail Khel, Dag Behsud, Dhagai villages.
The people are mostly associated with agriculture, transport, Govt jobs while many are living in Gulf States for jobs.
Addressing of issues of unemployment, encroachment, environmental and water pollution, scarcity of drinking water, poor roads conditions, lack of housing, agriculture and livestock problems besides poor conditions of streets lights and water drainage system would be a great challenge for upcoming MPA.
The literacy rate in the constituency is relatively high compare to PK-64 Nowshera and candidate win support of old politicians and strong families would certain get through to Khyber Pakthunkhwa Assembly.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain while addressing party workers at his home constituency at Kandi Tazadin said that ANP strongly believed in serving the down trodden people without any political affiliation.
The ANP after coming into power would serve the people without any discrimination and would construct university and sports complexes at each district of the province.
Mian Iftikhar urged upon party local leadership and workers to come up with strong support to the party so we will be able to elect ANP candidates with majority of votes.
He asked the workers and party local leadership to expedite their work for placing banners, posters and election manifestos wherein to spread party messages and serve the people in best possible manners.
While addressing a corner meeting in his constituency, former MPA Khaleequr Rehman said PTI has completed record development projects in the province especially in Nowshera and fulfilled all promises made with electorates.
He said metro bus in Peshawar and Swat Expressway started by PTI Government after completion would change destiny of people.
The PTI leader said PTI after coming into power would complete all the incomplete projects including metro bus and will spread a network of educational institutes in the province.
He said PTI had eliminated corruption, planted around one billion trees and set a great example of good governance and merit besides improved conditions of hospitals.
The PTI leaders urged people to exercise their right of franchise wisely on July 25 general election and voted for those who believed in practical works.
