Anti-Corruption Orders Inquiry Against Sugar Mills

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Anti-Corruption Regional Director Rana Gulzar Ahmed has ordered an inquiry against Fecto Sugar Mills and Adam Jee Sugar Mills, situated in tehsil Darya Khan, District Mianwali, for causing Rs 600 million losses to the national exchequer.

The Anti-Corruption department on Wednesday said investigation was initiated on the direction of Director General, Anti-Corruption Punjab, and after receiving information regarding misappropriation of funds in purchase of sugar mills. The inquiry order said that Fecto Sugar Mills has purchased 1,038-kanal land from Adam Jee Sugar Mills and mentioned only Rs 180 million amount of land at the registry office. The Anti-Corruption office said that misappropriation was found in the purchase of land as the sugar mills was purchased with Rs 7-8 billion and its total price was mentioned Rs 180 million only, inflicting a loss of Rs 500-600 million on the national exchequer.
