Anti-encroachment Operation: MCR, CCB, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Confiscate 10 Truckload Goods Of Encroachers

Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR), Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) and the district administration on the directive of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Umer Jahangir launched grand anti-encroachment operation here on Wednesday and confiscated 10 truckload goods of encroachers besides demolishing illegal sheds and cemented constructions from different commercial areas.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Oct, 2018 ) :Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR), Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB), Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) and the district administration on the directive of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Umer Jahangir launched grand anti-encroachment operation here on Wednesday and confiscated 10 truckload goods of encroachers besides demolishing illegal sheds and cemented constructions from different commercial areas.
According to details, the CCB on the directives of Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench conducted grand operation to remove encroachments in different commercial areas and demolished over 250 encroachments and confiscated five truckload goods of encroachers.
Ramps, sheds and illegal cemented constructions were also demolished during the operation.
According to a CCB spokesman, the CCB's anti-encroachment operation would continue and action would be taken against the encroachers.
The operation was conducted in Tali Mori, Dhari and Ghosia chowk areas, he added.
MCR also carried out anti-encroachment operation and removed 20 sheds from Moti Bazar and confiscated one truckload goods of encroachers from Katarian Market while 22 shutters and sheds were removed in Dhoke Elahi Buksh area.
He informed that FIRs would also be lodged against the shopkeepers who would encroach the roads again.
The district administration also conducted anti-encroachment operation and retrieved four kanal and seven marla piece of land of Auqaf department. Assistant Commissioner City supervised the operation.
RCB under its anti-encroachment operation confiscated four truckload goods from Saddar, Tench Bhatta, Masrial road and other areas.
Illegal sheds and cemented constructions outside the shops were demolished.
The shopkeepers have been warned of strict action inaccordance with the law if the encroachments are not removed.
