Anti-measles Campaign Inaugurated, More Than 0.65 Million Children To Be Vaccinated

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Oct, 2018 ) :12-Days Anti-measles campaign was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Muhammad Ayub Khan at Bahawal Victoria Hospital Sunday. Medical Superintendent BVH Dr Aziz-ur-Rehman, Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Bahawalpur Dr Fayyaz Anwar and District Coordinator Preventive Dr Zakir Ali were also present at the occasion.

Talking to media persons on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner told that as many 655,907 children from age of six months to seven years old will be administered anti-measles vaccines in Bahawalpur District.

He told that 5 district Supervisors and 30 tehsil Supervisors would monitor the campaign in which 552 teams will perform duties including 436 mobile teams and 116 fixed teams. Deputy Commissioner further told that various departments including school education Department, Rescue 1122, Social Welfare, Civil Hospital, Livestock Department, Agriculture Department and Wildlife Department have been directed to provide assistance in ensuring 100 percent results out of the campaign. The 12-days door-to-door campaign would start from tomorrow.
