Anti-polio Drive Starts In Faisalabad

A three-day anti-polio drive commenced here on Monday with a target to administer polio vaccine to 1.3545 million children up to the age of five years in the district.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Dec, 2018 ) :A three-day anti-polio drive commenced here on Monday with a target to administer polio vaccine to 1.3545 million children up to the age of five years in the district.

Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad inaugurated the anti-polio drive at Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Sammundri.

As many as 3234 teams of health department have been formed to carry out the campagin till Wednesday, December 12.

The minister said the government was committed to eradicate the chronic disease from the society. He also appealed the general public to cooperate with the anti-polio teams so that 100 percent target could be accomplished.
