Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Grants Bail To 9 Arsonists Of TLP Sit In

An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday granted post arrest bail to nine alleged arsonists involved in protests of Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) which were earlier sent to jail for fourteen days at judicial remand at the request of investigation officer.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2018 ) :An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday granted post arrest bail to nine alleged arsonists involved in protests of Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) which were earlier sent to jail for fourteen days at judicial remand at the request of investigation officer.

The protestors were arrested for damaging public property for their personal gains, attack on police, during the sit-in and violent protests of TLP in Islamabad.

The ATC Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi granted bail to 9 accused which were not nominated in the FIR against the bail plea of 10 accused whereas bail plea of one nominated accused Mansoor Ahmed was adjourned till Monday by the court.

The I-9 police had arrested such arsonists after registering cases under sections 109, 148/149, 147/188, 353/186 and 341/427 of Pakistan Penal Code and under section 7 of the Anti Terrorism Act (ATA).
