Anti Terrorism Court Awards Life Imprisonment With Fine To Two Murder Accused

An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad Tuesday sentenced life imprisonment to two accused involved in a murder case of Shalimar police station jurisdiction as well as a fine of Rs300,000 was also imposed on the convict.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad Tuesday sentenced life imprisonment to two accused involved in a murder case of Shalimar police station jurisdiction as well as a fine of Rs300,000 was also imposed on the convict.

According to details, Safi Ullah in connivance with Iftikhar Ahmed, Rooh Ullah and Waqif Khan murdered Ibrar Ahmed in 2010 in Shalimar police limits against which the police registered a case number 58/10 under sections 302/34 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and 7 ATA against the accused.

The ATC judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi issued the verdict after hearing final arguments from the defence and prosecution.

The court recorded the evidence of 15 witnesses during the course of proceedings.

The two accused Safi Ullah and Iftikhar Ahmed were awarded life imprisonment with fine while the two others Rooh Ullah and Waqif Khan were declared proclaimed offenders.
