LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2017 ) :Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said savage killers made the innocent students of Army Public school Peshawar a victim of their worst-ever barbarianism on December 16, 2014.
In his message, issued on the eve of the 3rd anniversary of martyrs of APS Peshawar, he said due to the blood of these innocent children, the whole nation stood up in the war against terrorism and wonderful successes were achieved due to the united decisions in this war.
As a result, the peace has been restored in the motherland today, he added. The chief minister said that teachers as well as students of APS Peshawar rendered a great sacrifice of their lives for the achievement of a great purpose and wrote a new history of bravery and valour.
The martyred teachers and the children were the heroes of the whole nation and they would remain so forever. The nation was still saddened over the martyrdom of the innocent children in the APS tragedy and the great sacrifice of the APS martyrs would never be forgotten by the nation, he added.
The CM said the nation got peace due to the blood shed by the martyrs and the APS children had written the history with their blood for a secure and peaceful Pakistan. He vowed that the blood debt of the martyred children would be paid by completely eliminating terrorists from the country.
He expressed the satisfaction that after Operation Zarb-e-Azb, the backbone of terrorists had been broken through the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. "We will not sit idle till eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country," he added.
He said the establishment of a Pakistani society based on norms of tolerance and broad-mindedness was their mission, adding that the goal would be achieved soon. "The whole nation is paying rich tributes to the sacrifices of the APS Peshawar martyrs and all our sympathies are with the families of the martyrs," concluded the chief minister.
