Court approves charge sheet in high-profile murder case involving Armaghan in Karachi
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 19th, 2025) In a major development, the main accused Armaghan on Saturday confessed to torturing Mustafa Amir to death by locking him in the trunk of his own car and setting the vehicle on fire in Hub, Balochistan.
The suspect made confession as the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) approved the charge sheet in the high-profile murder case.
The case has now been transferred to the trial court for further proceedings. According to the charge sheet submitted by the police, Armaghan confessed during interrogation that he, along with accomplice Shiraz, abducted Mustafa Amir and executed the brutal murder.
Mustafa Amir was reported missing on January 6, with an abduction FIR filed by his mother. Over a month later, on February 8, police raided a bungalow in Karachi’s Defence area (Khayaban-e-Momin) in an attempt to recover him. During the operation, suspects opened fire, injuring three police officers including a DSP.
Following the raid, Armaghan was taken into custody and later revealed the gruesome details of the crime. He stated that Mustafa was placed in the trunk of his car and taken to Hub, where the vehicle was set ablaze with him inside.
