
Arrangements Finalised To Hold Jashan-e-Azadi Cycle Race

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : All arrangements have been finalised to hold the Jashan-e-Azadi open cycle race here on August 14 in a befitting manner. Punjab Cycling Associaiton, Punjab Olympic Association and Pakistan Cycling Federation are jointly holding the race as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The road race will be peddled off on Sunday at 8.00am from the Punjab Stadium and terminate at the same point after covering some points of the city. Anyone having an ordinary cycle can take part in the race whose notable position-holders will get cash prizes, said a spokesman for PCA here on Wednesday.
Chaudhry Kamran Amin, President, Punjab Cycling Association, will flag off the riders.
Muhammad Akram, a former International Cyclist, will act as the chief coordinator of the event and Qaisar Saddique Bhatti is the Organising Secretary. Syed Nazakat Ali, also a former International Cyclist/ Coach has been named as the chief judge.
