Art Gallery To Be Established At Empress Market: Dr. Saif

Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman on Monday said an art gallery would be established in the Empress Market after complete removal of encroachments.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2018 ) :Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman on Monday said an art gallery would be established in the Empress Market after complete removal of encroachments.

He said this while reviewing the anti-encroachment activities outside the Empress Market - Saddar here, said a statement.

He said the removal of encroachments was being done in the Empress Market peacefully due to cooperation of the shopkeepers.

The anti-encroachment operation in the Empress Market area had entered its 8th day and now the front-part of the Empress Market was washed by water with the help of snorkel, he added.

He said over 200 shops situated in the surroundings of Jahangir Park had also been removed and now the lifting of debris was being performed.

He said the anti-encroachment operation would be gradually extended to other parts of the metropolis.

Earlier, Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman, who is supervising the anti-encroachment operation reviewed the removal of encroachment in the surroundings of Empress Market.
