Aslam Gurdaspuri's Book Launched At The Lahore Press Club

The launching ceremony of Aslam Gurdaspuri's book, 'Tujhe Aye Zindagi Laon Kahan Se', was held here at the Lahore Press Club on Friday
The writer is the founding member of Pakistan People's Party. Several intellectuals, writers and journalists including Dr Mahdi Hassan, Khawar Naeem Hashmi, Khushnud Ali Khan, Ayyaz Meer, Hamid Ali Khan Advocate, Dr Riaz Tasneem, Faheem Azhar addressed the ceremony, presided over by Dr Mubarik Ali Khan.
The speakers appreciated the poetry and prose of Gurdaspuri and said that PPP founding leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was also a fan of his truthful thoughts.
They said that his services for literature and democracy and politics were matchless as he worked as a political worker besides a writer. "He always highlighted the deprivations and pains of people in his poetry and prose," they added. They said that Gurdaspuri was a voice of the poor and deprived classes of society and his contribution to uplift of lives of this class could not be ignored.
